Welcome to the relaunch of my blog “It’s Everything I Love.” It’s my outlet to share simply everything I love which includes interior design, entertaining, cooking, gardens, travel and family. One of the things I love most about what I do, is the piecing together of elements to create a beautiful home life for my clients. Through experience I have learned that well executed design creates spaces that provide an almost effortless backdrop for a full life with family, friends, laughter, beauty and love. I refer to these as romantic American interiors and they are the hallmark of my design aesthetic.
I’ve been busy over the last year creating the Lee Ann Thornton Home Collection as a way of sharing that aesthetic and the lifestyle that accompanies it. Whether you are decorating an entire house or just adding to a room already done, you will find each piece brings beauty and purpose to the space. A traditionalist at heart, I have created classic pieces that will stand the test of time but that have been updated to work for today’s lifestyle. Official launch is January 1st 2016, and I am extremely proud and excited to share with you some of my favorite pieces such as a classic wing chair with softer proportions, slipped in beautiful linen, a game table covered in Fortuny fabric that is gorgeous but reminds us the value of play, a beautifully constructed, English inspired, chaise that is stunning but not so precious as to exclude a child or pet from taking a nap or reading a story.
At the collection’s core you will find influences from my life lived both on the West and East Coast. There are design elements borrowed from my travels and from pieces I have collected and admired. There is also an underlying important theme based on my love of family, entertaining and all things beautiful and most importantly of a life well lived.
