For the last 27 years, my husband and I have taken inspiration from English gardens and the countryside in planting our own gardens. At our home in Los Angeles, we planted hundreds of David Austen Roses transporting our Brentwood garden into an English rose heaven. I have always considered myself an Anglophile, pouring over books of English interiors and incorporating that style into my projects and my own home. There is a certain sensibility of English decor that is elegantly distressed. Gorgeous fabrics and furniture slipcovered for ease and mixed with rattan and antiques. Our English Country Mood Board reflects all of that and is my current inspiration for projects ahead. You can shop along the post, below.

This Rattan Pendant Light is currently one of my favorites. Whether placed in a hallway, kitchen or a bedroom it adds an elegant touch while still retaining the ease that rattan has.

Colefax & Fowler is one of the most iconic English fabric houses and I have used their prints for years. The Colefax & Fowler Interior Inspiration book is one of my most referenced and is beyond inspirational. The Fuchsia fabric is one of my favorites, most recently seen in Tory Burch’s gorgeous bedroom.

Atelier Vime, known across the world as one of the masters of rattan. Their interiors are incredible as well as the items that they offer to sell. Even the smallest piece like this vase can make a huge impact in a room.

I have adored ‘Mrs. Alice’ aka Alice Naylor-Leyland since I came across her Instagram years ago. She embodies English Country chic and has developed a gorgeous home collection. These gingham linens and green scallop bowls are the perfect pop of spring for entertaining.
